Rufous hummingbird female feeding on yellow iris nectar.
Two photographs of a female Rufous hummingbird feeding at and flying near fuchsia flowers on the Palliser’s front patio.
An elderly Mama racoon with her triplet babies, which were born in a tall wooden garden-tool box across from the Palliser’s back door!
Baby twin raccoons in the Palliser’s  back garden.
Left: a male American Goldfinch drinking at the water bubbler in the Palliser’s front patio area. You can see his beak magnified by the water
Right: a female Rufous hummingbird, hovering above the water bubbler on the Palliser’s front patio. Her feeding tube can be seen, extending from the tip of her long beak, as she prepares to drink. These visit the Palliser’s  garden and nectar feeders from March til September each year. They plant flowers that the humming birds especially like to feed on and also hang nectar feeders up for them.

The following photographs have been sent in by Alandra Palliser of British Columbia. As you can see, she is a wonderful photographer and I am sure I shall be adding more images in the future.
